INTERNSHIP

ENGINEERS • PRODUCERS • VIDEOGRAPHERS • EDITORS • SOCIAL MEDIA • MARKETING • PUBLIC RELATIONS

Our internship program is a rigorous and comprehensive opportunity designed to provide valuable, hands-on experience. Interns will gain in-depth knowledge of professional studio operations, learn to efficiently manage recording sessions, master the use of advanced equipment, and much more. This program offers a rewarding pathway to developing essential industry skills.

Program Overview

  • We accept internship applications on a rolling basis and conduct interviews as positions become available. The selection process is highly competitive, as we aim to find candidates who will thrive in a professional studio environment.

  • Our program accommodates up to six interns at a time. We are very selective about who we accept: seeking individuals who demonstrate strong potential, a passion for learning, and a commitment to the studio environment.

  • Interns are required to commit to one full "studio day" per week, which may be up to 12 hours. This commitment must be the same day each week for a minimum of three months.

Consistency and reliability are essential for both the intern and the studio.

  • Whenever possible, our engineers conduct specialized workshops, providing interns with practical, hands-on experience in a studio setting. Additionally, senior engineers dedicate one-on-one time with interns during studio downtime to teach them how to operate and manage various studio equipment and workflows. This ensures that interns receive a comprehensive, hands-on education in studio operations.

  • Interns undergo monthly performance evaluations to assess their progress. Based on these reviews, decisions will be made regarding whether the intern will continue for an additional two months, allowing for further development and experience.

Requirements

  • Applicants may be currently enrolled in a relevant college program (e.g., audio production) or not enrolled in any formal program. While technical experience is not mandatory, the internship involves a significant technical component, and candidates should be prepared to learn and internalize technical knowledge quickly.

  • A basic understanding of audio signal paths and equipment (e.g., familiarity with instrument and mic cables) is strongly encouraged, though not required. Knowledge of DAWs and outboard gear is also a plus.

  • Interns must live within a one-hour drive or commute from the studio. Long, late-night commutes can become tiresome and unsafe, so we prioritize candidates who can comfortably commute within this distance.

  • Interns must be able to follow complex instructions and work independently to complete tasks. A strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to manage responsibilities with minimal supervision are essential to succeed in this role.

  • We seek enthusiastic, responsible, humble, punctual, clean, alert, pleasant, curious, and outgoing individuals who are eager to learn and contribute in a professional studio environment.

  • Timely communication is essential. Interns must be able to respond to emails within 24 hours. Failure to do so may result in missed opportunities, including paying gigs, and can impact the success of the internship.

  • Interns are required to wear sensible, comfortable clothing and shoes appropriate for both physical tasks (e.g., climbing ladders, lifting equipment) and technical work (e.g., editing tracks). Avoid wearing show attire and choose clothing that can handle the physical demands of the studio environment.
